First Date Questions: Conversation Topics
Use our secret date questions to put her in a positive mood and make her want to meet with you again and again...First dates can be confusing and exciting at the same
time! They can also be sad for some men and women.
We can't help but worry that things will go wrong, that
we will say something silly and that our date will simply
dislike us.
It's all too easy to lose yourself and come across as a
shy and awkward person during the first date.
I recommend having a list of great first date questions
to ask which can help you break the ice and be more
sure in yourself and confident.
The idea is to ask open ended questions that trigger
ideas and thoughts. Women and men like to be
challenged and they enjoy the chase especially during
dating and relationships. They want to date someone
on the same level or somewhat even higher than them.
Asking them what their ideal holiday is will reveal what
type of person they are and if you are compatible with
them.
By simply asking the following first date question,
"If you had the power to change something about you,
what would you change?" allows you to measure a
person's self-confidence and modesty. It can be nice to
hear someone note their slight or big faults and flaws.
I have to warn you though, it can be a real pain to hear
a list of flaws from a nagging person who never stops
talking.
You don't want to start dating troubled people just
because you feel sorry for them or because they are
trying to win you over this way.
What other first date questions you may ask?
"What are you looking for in another person?"
Here you can see if you are actually that someone
that your date is looking for.
If you want to party and go out all the time to meet
other potential dates and the other person wants to
get pregnant and have a child then you may want to
stop dating this person!
If you follow this guideline, you will save yourself
any problems down the track if the relationship was
to continue.
You must also remember that first dates are not job
interviews. While you should try and get to know
more about the other person, you should not be
grilling them and asking them 100 questions.
Remember to use humour and keep the conversation
light and easy. Right after you asked a serious
question, ask "Now, the most important question,
what ice cream flavour do you like the most?"
Smile here and go grab some if you want to.
The idea is to have fun while talking to each other.
You do not want to make the first date, your last
date, especially if you like your date.
Also by being funny and flirty, you will find out
more about the other person's sense of humour
and character traits.
Are they dry and too serious or are they funny
and socially savvy?
Asking something like, "when did you first get
drunk?" allows you both to giggle and have fun.
It also shows the other person your personality
and sense of adventure.
The idea is to read your date's body language
and verbal responses. Are they enjoying the
conversation? If yes, then keep at it.
If they appear to be upset, bored or shy,
perhaps changing to another first date question
or a conversation topic is a better way to go.
If you think that every move you make is being
closely watched and criticised, please remember
that your date feels probably the same way.
This is why it is great to have these first date
questions handy.
Have fun during your first date, don't just listen to
what the girl or a guy says, pay attention to it.
Quiet often that is all you need to do in order to
have a smooth conversation where you both connect.
And if this date does not work out, remember, there
is always another woman waiting for you.
